Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released a notice to inform the public about important changes related to the website, SSC CHSL 2024 application guidelines and more.
According to the notice issued, SSC informed that the new website of the Commission (ssc.gov.in) has been made live and the existing website (ssc.nic.in) will remain accessible to the public.
Regarding SSC CHSL Notification 2024, it was informed that the official notice for the examination will be released on the new website and accordingly candidates are expected to submit their application forms through the new website.

As a part of the application process, candidates will have to generate their One Time Registration (OTR) on the new website as the OTR on the previous website will not work for the new website.
The notice by the Commission states that candidates can complete the OTR as early as possible before the publication of the notice for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2024.
Candidates must note that there will be an option to capture live photographs of the candidates while submitting the application form on the new website. This is a new provision compared to the previous version of application submission on the previous website, where candidates were required to upload already captured images.
The notice mentions that to capture live images, candidates are advised to either use webcam on computer/laptop or Android device can be used.
Make sure to do the following before capturing live images:
- Find a place with good lighting and a plain background.
- Make sure the camera is at eye level before taking a photo.
- Position yourself directly in front of the webcam and look straight ahead.
- Candidates should not wear cap, mask or goggles/glasses while taking live photo
