The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the Self-Slot Selection Program for candidates appearing in the Junior Engineer (JE) Examination 2025 and Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Examination 2025. This feature allows candidates to choose their preferred exam city and date on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in.
As per the schedule, the slot selection window for Junior Engineer exam will be open from November 10 to 13, 2025. For Sub-Inspector (SI) exam, candidates can select their slots between November 17 to November 21, 2025.
“The Commission has extended the facility to choose the examination city and date as per the choice of the candidates. To avail this facility, candidates have to log in to the candidate portal and use their choice for slot selection for the examinations,” the SSC official notice said.
SSC JE and SSC SI Paper-I examination will be conducted in December 2025. This year’s recruitment drive aims to fill 1,731 Junior Engineer posts and 5,308 Sub-Inspector posts in Delhi Police and CAPFs.
The Commission has said that once the slot is selected and submitted, it will be final, no changes or amendments will be allowed. If candidates fail to select within the specified period, the system will automatically allot a slot based on their application preferences or availability.
“Furthermore, candidates should note that the choice once submitted by the candidates will be considered final. No further change in the selected slot will be allowed and no representation in this regard will be entertained by the Commission,” the notice said.
“If a candidate fails to exercise the slot selection option within the prescribed time limit, the system will automatically allot the slots available in any city chosen during the application window or as per availability. The decision of the Commission regarding slot allotment will be final and binding.”
