South Korean singer Chen, a member of K-pop boy band EXO, opens up about his first trip to India, exploring Mumbai, his musical evolution and working in Bollywood.
South Korean singer-songwriter Chen’s first visit to India was made memorable by the love he received from his fans. “I am filled with joy and I hope it will be the same for my Indian fans,” he tells us.
The 32-year-old, a member of K-pop boy band EXO, was in Mumbai to perform at the recently held K-Town festival. His rendition of Harbar (Descendants of the Sun) was considered the highlight of his show. Talking about how impressed he was by the overwhelming response to his performance, Chen says, “I’m the kind of person who likes to share my emotions with my fans on stage.”
Chen made a solo comeback with her fourth mini album Door. Although this is her 13th year in the music business, she doesn’t feel that she has changed much since her debut: “I’m passionate about what I do, and with each album, I bring new experiences and emotions. It’s like my own music diary.”
Ask him if he would like to work in Bollywood, he said, “I think doing a Hindi song would be a memorable experience. If I get a chance, I will definitely do it,” before concluding by saying, “Hello!”
