Looking beautiful may be subjective, but feeling beautiful – really not.

Either you feel like God’s most wonderful creature, or you’re internally picking out every last little thing about your looks that you want to change. Even if you’re not one to be overly concerned about your looks, liking what you see in the mirror subconsciously plays a big part of how we feel about ourselves.
Dr. Mansi Shirolikar, a top dermatologist from Madhya Pradesh, shares her simple, surefire tips that make her feel, in her own words, “10 times more beautiful”. Take notes girls! (And don’t forget to consult your doctor before taking any of these medicines).
magnesium
According to Dr. Shirolikar, taking a magnesium tablet every night before going to bed helps relax the nervous system, improve sleep, and reduce stress. She suggests taking it about 30 to 60 minutes before your bedtime — “because good skin starts with 8 hours, not 8 serums.”
silicone gel
This is for those who struggle with raised wounds. Using silicone gel on the affected areas causes the scars to flatten, soften and eventually become lighter. Dr. Shirolikar even calls this hack “eraser energy.”
glycolic acid
Glycolic acid is the wonder of the acid world, and that’s just a fact. But if you have chicken skin, strawberry feet and/or a case of keratosis pilaris it can really work magic. Glycolic exfoliates, while supplemental urea softens. She adds, “The Smooth Arms and Legs Committee is working overtime.”
bond repair
It’s a bit of an investment, but literally worth every penny. Using a full range of Bond Repair hair products for your weekly hair wash will not only give you a feeling of luxury, but also make you see what those price tags mean. These products rebuild hair bonds broken by years of heat styling and chemical coloring, so your hair feels stronger, smoother, and shinier. “Like rehab, but for hair,” quips Dr. Shirolikar.
peptide serum
We are finally in an era where ‘peptide’ and ‘ceramide’ have become household words – as well as free knowledge floating around on the internet to take advantage of! Dr. Shirolikar says that instead of applying moisturizer to the dry, flaky patches around your eyes, a peptide serum from a trusted brand should be your preferred method. Your lower eyes will thank you.
Omega 3
Every day, no competition. From calm skin to shiny hair, taking omega 3 daily will make you feel “better at everything,” says Dr. Shirolikar. If you’re worried about getting the post-breaky fishy burps that usually come with being Omega 3 girly, just keep your bottle in the fridge. The fish has started burping!
azelaic acid
Depending on the severity of your acne and the scarring it causes, Dr. Shirolikar says using azelaic acid once to twice daily will help your skin heal dramatically.
What are your rituals for ‘feeling beautiful’?
