Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan on Wednesday questioned the government as to why the anti -retaliation was named “Operation Sindoor” by the armed forces after the deadly Pahgam terror attack, when women were widowed and “lost their vermilion”.
“I talk to my heart … You have appointed big writers who give fancy name … Why do you name it sindoor? The sindoor was exposed to the people (they lost their vermilion) … The wives who were killed were left behind,” PTI quoted Jaya Bachchan.
He said, “Why did the tourists who went there go there? After the abolition of Article 370, they were chest-stammana that terrorism would end … what happened? What happened? The tourists believed there, saying,” he said.
Bachchan expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack and said, “You have destroyed the trust and belief of those you promised. Those families will never forgive you. You do not have the ability to apologize to those families.”
