Police have arrested a total of 150 people, including 50 trainee sub-inspectors and two RPSC members, in the SI Recruitment 2021 exam case.

The Rajasthan High Court on Monday directed that status quo be maintained on the Sub-Inspector Recruitment Examination-2021, a lawyer said, as it issued notice to government officials to file their response on the matter.
The court of Justice Sameer Jain has issued notice to the DGP of Home Department, Rajasthan, Secretary of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) and ADG of Special Operation Group (SOG).
“The court has directed to maintain status quo on Sub-Inspector Recruitment Examination-2021. With this, the sword will hang on the passing out parade and field posting of trainees recruited in the examination,” said advocate Harendra Neel.
He said that the recruitment exam was conducted to fill 859 vacancies. Police have arrested a total of 150 people, including 50 trainee sub-inspectors and two RPSC members.
He said that the Police Headquarters and the Advocate General have recommended cancellation of the examination, but those who were selected and trained are going to be posted soon.
A cabinet committee of six ministers was formed on October 1 to decide on canceling the exams. The case is being investigated by the Special Operation Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel has been made the convenor of the six-member cabinet committee formed to review the SI recruitment examination.
