At the same time, sales of Tata’s Nexon SUV, popular for its 5-star rating, increased to 15,284 units in December 2023. Nexon was sold at 12,053 units in December 2022.
Why is Nexon becoming famous?
People are liking the facelift version of Nexon very much. This car is coming with design and features updates inside and outside. The company has given it a completely new front facia, which has made its look more powerful than before. It has a newly designed split LED headlight setup, redesigned front and back bumper and a new LED tail light setup. The company has completely updated not only the exterior design of the car but also the interior. Inside the car, a new 2-spoke steering wheel, new dashboard layout and new interior color are now available.

Both petrol and diesel engine options are available in Tata Nexon. It has the first 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine which generates 120 bhp power and 170 Nm torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT and a new 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT). The option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT is given with the diesel unit.
Safety is also strong
Tata Motors is known for its cars with excellent build quality. The company has also taken special care of quality and safety features in Nexon. Nexon is built on Tata Motors’ ALFA platform. Impact 2.0 design language has been used in it. Tata Motors is also using its Alpha platform in the Altroz hatchback. With this platform, both the cars have been successful in getting 5-star rating in Global NCAP (GNCAP) crash test. At the same time, Nexon has also got a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test being conducted in India.

Tata Nexon facelift price starts at Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom). At the same time, its price for the top variant goes up to Rs 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The company is selling it in four variants Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless with a total of 7 color options. Nexon competes directly with Honda Elevate, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Maruti Brezza.
