In August 2023, Toyota launched Rumion MPV (Toyota Rumion) in India, which is now receiving huge bookings.
According to media reports, at present there is a waiting period of 32 weeks i.e. more than 7 months on Toyota Rumion. However, the waiting period varies depending on the variant and engine of the Rumion. The company is selling Rumian in three variants S, G and V. Highest waiting on petrol variant
There is a waiting period of 28-32 weeks on the petrol variant of Toyota Rumion. On the other hand, if you are thinking of buying its CNG variant, then it is not possible to do so at present because due to excessive bookings, the company has temporarily stopped its new bookings.
Engine and Specifications
Toyota Rumion is a rebadged version of Maruti Ertiga. The company is using 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine in it. This engine generates power of 103 bhp and torque of 137 Nm. This engine has been given the option of 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual gearbox. CNG option is also available in Rumian. In CNG, this car generates power of 88 bhp and torque of 121.5 Nm. Talking about mileage, its manual petrol model gets a mileage of 20.51 km per liter. Whereas, the mileage of its CNG variant is 26.11 km per kg.
price and competition
Toyota Rumion MPV was recently launched at a starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of its top model goes up to Rs 13.68 lakh (ex-showroom). This MPV comes with similar design and features to Ertiga. However, the company has given many new features and design updates to make it different. In the market it competes with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Mahindra Bolero and Kia Carens.
