But now, the company has a new verification system that allows public figures and organizations to receive a verified badge, allowing users to quickly identify legitimate sources of information.
To increase transparency, Telegram now supports official third-party services that can assign verification icons to users’ accounts and chats. This system operates independently of Telegram’s existing verification process.

How will the verification mark be?
Usually you have seen the blue checkmark, but on Telegram, third party verification services will not use this traditional blue checkmark. A different type of icon will be seen on the left side of the user’s name. You can know about the verification service by clicking on the profile of the accounts which have been verified by the third party verification system.
Verified accounts will be clearly marked, so users can be confident of their authenticity. This feature is expected to benefit businesses, influencers and public institutions, ensuring secure and reliable interactions. The platform will also include tools for reporting against suspicious accounts, thereby reducing fraudulent activity.
