State Bank of India (SBI) today announced the results for the Probation Officer (PO) Main Examination on 21 May. On May 21, candidates taking the exam can check and download their results from the official website on sbi.co.in using their roll number. The exam was held on 5 May.
A total of 600 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment process. Of these, 240 vacancies are for general category, 158 for OBC, 58 for EWS, 87 for SC, 57 for ST. There are 586 regular and 14 backlog vacancies in this recruitment.
The Mains exam was conducted online, including an objective test (200 marks) and a descriptive test (50 marks). Each section including descriptive paper requires candidates to secure minimum qualification marks. While no minimum marks are required for individual subjects, candidates will have to meet the overall qualification criteria set by SBI. A state-wise and category-wise merit list will be prepared, and candidates will be ranked on the basis of their overall scores within their respective states and categories.

step 1 – Go to the official website of State Bank of India – sbi.co.in.
step 2 – On the homepage, click on the link that says ‘SBI PO Mains Result 2025’.
step 3 – Enter your registration number/roll number and birth/password.
step 4 – Your SBI PO Mains Results will be displayed on the 2025 screen.
Step 5 – Download the result and save a copy for future reference.
SBI PO Prelims were held on 8 March, 16, 24 and 26, 2025 with the results declared in April.
SBI PO Mains Results 2025: What’s next?
Those who have approved the examination will further include 20 marks for psychometric testing and group exercise, and 30 marks in individual interviews. Those who successfully clean these rounds will be selected for posts.
Selected candidates will be paid between Rs 36,000 to Rs 63,840.
In addition, to be eligible for these posts, candidates must graduate from a recognized institute. Applicants should also be between the ages of 20 and 28, with their births falling between April 2, 1996 and 1 April 2004.
