Shiv Sena (UBT) Parliament member Sanjay Raut said on Thursday that a terrorist does not have caste or religion. Raut was responding to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s ‘A Hindu Cantt a Terrorist’ statement in Rajya Sabha a day earlier.
“A terrorist has no caste or religion,” Raut told news agency Annie, “An Indian national underdeveloped Kulbhushan Jadhav in Pakistan since 2016 invited Jadhav.
Raut said, “The people of Pakistan call Kulbushan Jadhav a terrorist, a Hindu terrorist. We are not ready to accept it. The government should tell Pakistan that he is our citizen and free him,” Raut said.
Pakistan alleges that Jadhav Research and Analysis Wing is a detective to India’s intelligence agency, and was arrested in the Pakistani province Balochistan. The Indian Foreign Ministry says that Yadav was kidnapped from Iran and was illegally given to Pakistan.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah while talking in the Rajya Sabha on July 30 said that the Hindu can “never be a terrorist”.
The Home Minister said that the Home Minister criticized former Union Minister and Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram for his assessment that there was no concrete evidence connecting Pakistan to Pakistan, who had attacked tourists in Pahgam.
The Home Minister also brought the 2008 statement of Congress leader Digvijay Singh about the possibilities of RSS link for 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
