Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be launched soon.Samsung’s flagship models are always in the news in the smartphone market. Now there is news that Samsung Galaxy S26 series can be launched early next year. This series will be the successor to this year’s Galaxy S25 lineup. Some data recently leaked online has revealed that the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy S26 models may be thinner and lighter than their previous models.
According to tipster Ice Universe, the thickness of the Galaxy S26 Ultra may be around 7.9mm and weight may be around 214 grams. At the same time, the measurement of Galaxy S26 is said to be 6.9mm and weight is said to be 164 grams. The thickness of the Galaxy S26+ may be the same as its previous model at 7.3mm, but the weight is likely to be slightly higher, at around 191 grams.
If this is true, then the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy S26 will be lighter and thinner than their S25 models. The current S25 Ultra is 8.2mm thick and weighs 218 grams, while the S25 is 7.2mm thick and weighs 168 grams.
Comparison with iPhone 17 series
According to reports, the entire Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be thinner and lighter than the iPhone 17 series. For example, the iPhone 17 has a thickness of 7.95mm and weighs 177 grams. Whereas, the thickness of iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max is 8.75mm and weight is 204g and 231g respectively.
According to reports, the Galaxy S26 series may be launched in late January 2026 and sales may start in early February. The series is likely to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, while Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chipset may also be available in some markets.
Talking about the camera, Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus can have triple rear camera setup, while quad camera setup can be seen in Ultra model.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to be lighter, thinner and have better performance. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and new camera features can make it a great option for gaming and photography enthusiasts.
