Arrest made in recent threat case
Police claimed that Sohail Pasha, who was caught from Raichur in Karnataka, wanted the song written by him to become famous and he used this trick for the purpose. Mumbai Traffic Police’s WhatsApp helpline received several messages on November 7 stating that the sender was a member of the Bishnoi gang and that Salman Khan would be killed if he did not make the payment. 50 million. What happened
The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police tracked the mobile number from which the messages were received in Raichur. Accordingly, a team was sent to Karnataka and the owner of the number, Vyankatesh Narayan, was interrogated, the officer said. But Narayan’s mobile phone did not have internet facility, he said. The police then discovered that a WhatsApp installation OTP had come on his phone.
Narayan told police that on November 3, a stranger approached him in the market and asked if he could have Narayan’s phone to make calls. The investigation revealed that the person had installed WhatsApp on his mobile using Narayan’s mobile number to receive the OTP, the officer said. After this the crime branch team focused on Pasha in Manavi village near Raichur.
He turned out to be the author of the song ‘Main Sikandar Hoon’ mentioned in the threat, the officer said, adding that he wanted to make the song famous and hence he played the trick of including it in the threatening message to a famous person. Pasha was brought to Mumbai and handed over to Worli police for further investigation, the officer said. The traffic police helpline has received at least four threatening messages for Salman Khan in recent months.
