Film director Ravi Srivathsa, who recorded a video of the demolished structure, was said to be, “This is my God (Vishnuvardhan) place, and it is destroyed. The memorial at Abhiman Studios consisted of an 8-foot statue of Vishnuvardhan, which is now a bone of dispute between new owners and fans. Despite the long -standing demand to preserve the site, the demolition has disappointed fans who called the government, police and film Chamber. According to a report by OneIndia, a new monument spread over 2.75 acres in Myndia has been in development since 2020, which plans to show Vishnuvardhan’s personal items.

On Saturday evening, Kannada star Rishab Shetty condemned Vishnuvardhan’s memorial overnight. He wrote on X (East Twitter) in Kannada, “What has happened in the case of Vishnuvardhan Sir’s memorial is condemnable. It has hurt every fan deeply who worships him wholeheartedly. In the case of a great actor of the state, such incidents are happening again and again.”
Kichcha Sudeep also condemned the move and wrote in a long note on X, “Suddenly Vishnuvardhan represents a united praise and honor. Earlier night before night, the destruction of his monument seems painful and disturbing such as a temple of an God that we believe and were revered for years.”
He also said that many people, including him, had asked the officials whether he needed money to maintain the structure when he is a case in the High Court. “We were ready for everything, I said ourselves. Nevertheless, the government did not pay attention to it, or perhaps, without providing a proper explanation to the court, without burying it into the ground, he said that the monument at the crematorium is not valid at the crematorium because there is already a monument in Mysore,” he said.
