Actress Ridhima Pandit has reacted to allegations by people calling her dating rumours with cricketer Shubman Gill a ‘PR stunt’.
Recently, speculations linking actress Ridhima Pandit with cricketer Shubman Gill have set the gossip mill abuzz. However, 34-year-old Ridhima has promptly dismissed these rumours, saying, “I don’t even know him”. Addressing the claims that it was a PR stunt, she strongly dismissed them and said, “Why should I react, I know the truth. I don’t want to give importance to such assumptions because it would be foolish. If I had to do all this, I would have done it in Bigg Boss. I could have easily stayed on the show and mingled with someone for publicity, but I didn’t do that.”
Pandit, who debuted in 2016 with the TV show Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, says she values her professional reputation more than momentary publicity stunts. “I have worked hard to reach where I am today. I want to be known for my work, not my relationships.”
Speaking about the widespread nature of rumours in the entertainment industry, Pandit remarked, “It’s very easy to spread rumours these days. It’s good that they linked me with Shubman Gill, who is a promising cricketer and I respect him a lot. But, people could have linked me with someone who is 75 years old, and people would have believed that too.”

The actress, who has been quite selective about her projects ever since she entered Bigg Boss OTT, revealed, “So far I haven’t been offered anything that’s worth my time. It’s a bit sad to keep waiting for good projects.”
Despite her brief stay away from the limelight, Pandit is optimistic about her future roles, including Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming OTT project. “I am not interested in doing multiple music videos or playing small roles in TV shows. I am very selective about the projects I choose, and I have no regrets about taking a brief break. My goal is not fleeting fame; I am here to stay for the long haul,” she concludes.
