Operation Sindoor: Trinamool Congress MP Yusuf Pathan did not participate in the Center’s Operation Sindoor Outreach program amid a hot row, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee claimed that no request for the delegation for names for the delegation did not come in “Mother Party”.
“They cannot decide the name (center). If they request the mother party, the party will decide. It is custom; this is the system. We are with the central government about the policy of the Foreign Government, and we are fully supporting them,” Mamta Banerjee told reporters.
Yusuf Pathan not participate in the delegation
Sources said on Monday that Trinmool Congress MP Yusuf Pathan will not participate in the central government’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ foreign outreach.
According to TMC, he was incorporated without consulting the party, despite that the government allegedly reached Pathan. The former cricketer-politics has since been informed that he will not be available to join the delegation.
Fifty political leaders, including MPs and former ministers of party lines, have been appointed to the seven delegations prescribed to visit the world capitals to express India’s determination to combat terrorism in terms of “Operation Sindoor”.
While TMC leader Sudeep Bandyopadhyay rejected participation, citing health concerns, TMC MP Yusuf Pathan, whose name appeared in the list, will not participate as per, PTI,
‘Can’t decide the name of the member on his own’
Adding the claims about inclusion of Yusuf Pathan’s name in the delegation list without ‘consultation’, Mamata Banerjee said: “They cannot decide the name of the member in themselves. It is not their choice if they request that I send someone, we will not tell them.”

The multi-party delegation, meeting seven groups under the leadership of an MP, has been launched by the Government of India to combat global misinformation and highlight India’s zero-oppression policy on terrorism in more than 30 countries.
