After OnePlus and Oppo, Realme has now launched its new software Realme UI 7.0, which is based on Android 16. The company has introduced it with ‘Light Glass Design’, in which major changes have been made in both visual and performance. Let us know about its new features, design changes and rollout schedule.
Realme’s next flagship smartphone Realme GT 8 Pro will be launched with Realme UI 7.0. Rest of the users will have to wait for a while. According to the company, some selected devices will get open beta updates by the end of 2025. If your phone is eligible for Android 16 but is not on the list, you may get the update in the first quarter of 2026.
Major changes in design and interface
The biggest change in Realme UI 7.0 is its new ‘Light Glass Design’. In this, the interface has been given a transparent, glassy and deep look.
Along with this, the company has claimed that this update will be 15% more responsive and 22% better performance.
New features include:
- Smooth animations and dynamic themes
- Desktop-style floating window (for multitasking)
- Notification Grouping System
Security features of Android 16 like scam call detection, online threat blocking and advanced permission controls.
There’s also a lot new in the new visual update:
- Ice Cube Icons- New 3D-look instead of old flat icons
- Breathing Dock- Animated background in the app dock
Refreshed Control Center, Adaptive Dark Mode, and Live Photo and Video Wallpaper support (Flux Theme 2.0)
New smart features equipped with AI
This time Realme has paid special attention to AI features:
- AI Notify Brief – Will automatically show a summary of the notification.
- AI Framing Master- will improve photography in a smart way.
- AI Gaming Coach-will analyze the gameplay and give tips and insights.
Also, now Realme UI 7.0 will also get better connectivity with Apple devices (like Apple Watch), just like Xiaomi HyperOS and Vivo OriginOS 6.
