Mount Abu Winter Tourism: Cold has broken records in Mount Abu, the only hill station of Rajasthan. For the second consecutive day, the temperature was recorded around the freezing point, due to which severe cold is being felt in the entire area. Cold winds in the morning and night have increased the chill. Despite this, a large number of tourists are reaching here and enjoying the cold weather, fog and beautiful views. The administration has advised people to protect themselves from cold.
Sirohi: With the arrival of the new year, winter has started increasing in the city of Mount Abu, which is considered the famous hill station of Rajasthan and Shimla of the state. Here the mercury has been seen at the freezing point for the second consecutive day. The minimum temperature was observed at 0 degree Celsius. Severe cold was seen in many areas including Gurushikhar, Achalgarh, Kumharwada, the highest peak of the Aravalli mountain range. In the morning, a sheet of snow was visible on the vehicles kept outside in the open. Snow was seen on the grass in the parks including the Polo Ground. Tourists seeing this scene had the same experience in Rajasthan as in Shimla and Kashmir.
Vehicular movement is also being affected due to low visibility due to fog in the Aravali valleys. Due to cold winds here since last two days, tourists and local people are seen wearing woolen clothes and jackets throughout the day. At many places, people were seen trying to protect themselves from the cold by lighting bonfires.

Tourist Salman Khan, who came to visit from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, said that he had come to visit Mount Abu especially to see the winter of Mount Abu and the sight of snow here. Even today the temperature had reached 0 degrees. Even after the sun was shining, there was snow here. Very happy to see this sight. Tourist Ankit, who came to visit from MP, told that he had only heard about snow accumulation in Mount Abu in winter. Coming here today, I am experiencing it myself. In reality Mount Abu is Shimla of Rajasthan.
Enjoy boating amidst fog in Nakki Lake
Snow and fog were also seen in the famous Nakki Lake of the hill station in the morning. Tourists enjoyed boating amid the fog. Apart from this, tourists are enjoying the view of fog in the Aravali valleys from view points like Sunset Point, Honeymoon Point, Gurushikhar, Shooting Point. The Tibetan Market, famous for winter shopping in the city, is also heavily crowded with tourists. Here tourists are buying more woolen clothes along with jackets, mufflers etc.
