Punjab schools, colleges and other educational institutions to be closed till September 7, 2025. This decision was taken due to serious weather conditions.

The Punjab government has ordered the closure of all governments, government-aided and private schools, colleges, universities and polytechnics across the state by September 7, 2025.

State Education Minister Harjot Bains has shared the update on his official X account. The tweet states, “Honorable CM Punjab Sh. Directed by Bhagwant Singh Mann ji, in view of flood situation, all government/aided/recognized and private schools, colleges, universities and polytechnics across Punjab will remain closed till 7th September 2025.

Due to severe weather conditions, schools and other educational institutions will remain closed till 7 September.

Earlier, the government had announced the closure of educational institutions by 3 September, which has been extended.
