Prajwal Revanna sexual assault case: A day after his grandfather and former Prime Minister HD Devegowda asked him to return to India and face investigation in the sexual assault case, JD(S) Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna has released a video and said he will appear before the SIT.
In a video shot by himself, Prajwal said that he will appear before the SIT on May 31 and will fully cooperate in the investigation.
Prajwal left India on April 27, soon after the Karnataka government formed an SIT to probe the allegations.
The Hassan MP has also alleged that the case is a political conspiracy against him, and that it has led him to depression and isolation.
He also claimed that his foreign trip was pre-planned and when the elections were held on April 26, there was no case against him and no SIT was formed.
“I came to know about these allegations while I was on a trip,” Prajwal said in a video.
He further said, “Rahul Gandhi and many other Congress leaders started talking about this and against me and a political conspiracy was hatched against me… On Friday, May 31 at 10 am, I will appear before the SIT and give all the information related to the investigation. I will support the investigation. I have faith in the judiciary…”
