Moscow. Russia and Ukraine are trying their best to stop the war. The US, led by Donald Trump, is constantly talking to both countries, but it seems that this war is increasing rather than stopping. Russia said on Saturday that it had dropped 126 Ukrainian drones in Volgograd and Voronez regions overnight, while Kiev said that his army had dropped 130 Russian drones.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that 64 drone Volgograd and neighboring Voronezh were stopped and targeting the rest of the border areas. Ukraine has sent drones to Russia during Russia’s invasion and carried out the biggest drone attacks on the Moscow region on Monday, the biggest attack since the struggle began in 2022.
The attack is taking place at a time while Ukraine has accepted the US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Ukrainian officials in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Earlier this week, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he is in favor of the 30-day ceasefire proposed by the US.
But he also added that “there are some serious issues that should be discussed.” Putin said at a press conference with Belarusian leader Alexander Luakashnco in Moscow, “We agree with the resolutions of the ceasefire, but on the basis that the ceasefire will lead to long -term peace and will look at the root causes of the crisis.”
Russia again captured 2 villages
Meanwhile, Moscow also announced on Saturday that it had re -occupied two more villages from the Ukrainian army possession in the Kursk border area. The Russian Ministry of Defense said that the soldiers have gained control over the villages of Zoleshka and Rubanchina in the north and west of Sudza city, both are the main cities. Russian leader Vladimir Putin appealed to Ukrainian troops struggling a day earlier to “surrender”, while his American counterpart Donald Trump urged Kremlin to spare his life. Putin said on Friday, “If they surrender by putting their arms, they will be guaranteed life and respectable behavior.”
