Bihar Post Matric Scholarship: The Department of Education has issued an official notification and has provided clear guidelines to students and educational institutions.

The application process for Bihar Post Matric Scholarship 2024-25 will start on 25 August. This scholarship will be given to students of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, backward classes and extremely backward classes. The application deadline has been set for September 25. The Education Department has issued an official notification and has provided clear guidelines to students and educational institutions.
According to the information, applications will be accepted under Scheduled Caste Post-Entry Scholarship Scheme, Scheduled Tribe Post-Entry Scholarship Scheme, Chief Minister Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Post-Entry Scholarship Scheme, and Chief Minister backward class and extremely backward class post-entry scholarship scheme 2024.
Applications can only be submitted online. Separate portals are available for students of different categories. Students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will apply on Scstpmsonline.bihar.gov.in, while backward classes and extremely backward class students will apply on PMSONLINE.BIHAR.Gov.in. The responsibility of verification has been entrusted to the educational institutions concerned, which can log in to instpmsonline.bihar.gov.in.
The Education Department has emphasized that no application should be left pending. Once an application is obtained on the portal, it will be examined and verified at the institute level. If any application is left pending without any reason, the concerned institution will bear the responsibility.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Matric Scholarship
The student should be a citizen of India and belongs to the SC/ST category. She or she must have passed the previous examination. The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh annually. The scholarship will include reimbursement of tuition fees, maintenance allowance/ hostel allowance, book allowance, thesis typing allowance, etc.
The District Education Department has advised the students to submit their applications with all the necessary documents before the time limit. Students who do not have necessary documents like Aadhaar card, bank account and income certificate, should be prepared in advance. The department has said that late applications or forms will not be accepted with incomplete documents.
