There is a beautiful site in Kota Gram Panchayat of Chopan development block of Sonbhadra district, which the local people know as ‘Abari’. The Kanhar river flows from here, which later joins the Son River.

How to reach
If you are coming from Varanasi or Prayagraj, then you will have to reach Parasapani and Gurmura via Varanasi-Shaktinagar state route beyond Sonbhadra headquarters. From here you can go to this site from a private vehicle or a taxi booked. It is located about 13 kilometers inside the main road.
Living and eating facilities
There is no proper arrangement to stay at night, but good hotels and restaurants are found in Chopan, Renukut and surrounding areas, where better stay and eat and drink are available.
According to the tourist Chandra Thakur, “This place is one of the finest tourist destinations of Sonbhadra, but there is a lack of basic facilities here. If hotels, restaurants and other facilities are developed here, then this place can become even more beautiful. This will not only increase tourism, but will also get revenue to the government.”
