The company has assured that the new assembly line started at the Manesar plant with an additional capacity of 1,00,000 units will be used mainly to meet the demand for Ertiga. The company aims to sell 6,00,000 CNG cars in the financial year 2025, in which Ertiga will also have a significant share. According to the company, a significant increase is being seen in the demand for Ertiga CNG.
Ertiga CNG sales increased
According to the company, total sales of Ertiga will cross 10 lakh units in 2024. There are a large number of CNG variants among them. Till the year 2019, 5 lakh units of this MPV were sold. Interestingly, the CNG variant was launched in February 2020.
In the same year, sales of Ertiga had reached 6 lakh units within 12 months. It took more than 7 years for the MPV to reach the first 5 lakh units sales figure, but due to the huge demand for the CNG variant, it took only 4 years to reach the next 5 lakh units sales figure.
Its average sales during the fourth quarter of the last financial year were 15,000 units, which totaled 45,000 units at the end of the quarter.
