Panorama started in Dholpur’s Tirthraj Machkund, know opening time and entry fee

Dharamveer Baghel/Dhaulpur: A panorama was built at Tirtharaj Machkund Dholpur by the Rajasthan Heritage Conservation and Promotion Department. It was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in September 2018. In this, the stories related to Machkund have been brought in front of the tourists, in which the entire history of Machkund Maharaj, from the strategy of war by Jarasandh and Kalayavan, has been shown through grand full size scenery, painting and drawing.

There is a statue of Machkund Maharaj in the panorama. Apart from this, there are statues depicting various conflicts and conversations including Shri Krishna Balram, Jarasandh and Kalayavan making strategy for the war, Kansa’s wives reaching to meet their father Jarasandh after Kansa’s death, Kalayavan chasing Shri Krishna, Rishi Shri Sheshirayan ji’s Shiv worship, Kalayavan’s foot attack, Ranchod Shri Krishna ji, Dev Sena’s commander Swami Kartikeya ji, giving the boon of sleep to Machkund ji, Machkund’s promise to protect the gods, Maharaja Muchukund ji’s rest in Gandhamadan cave, which attract devotees and tourists. This increases the knowledge of history. It has been made by Jaipur’s artists.

Opening hours and entry fee
Sandeep Sharma, the employee posted at the panorama by the district administration, said that the panorama is open from 8 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm. There is an entry fee for entering the panorama, which is Rs 10 per person. The entry fee for children and students is Rs 5. Tourists come from far and wide and enjoy the paintings made in the panorama.

Mahant Krishnadas of Ladli Jagmohan Temple said that the panorama built at Machkund was closed for a long time. It has been opened once again for tourists. District Collector Srinidhi BT has restarted it.

SDM Dr. Sadhana Sharma has recently opened and cleaned this place after discussing with other departments including the tourism department. Now the tourists coming from far off places will not have to return disappointed. The entire history of Machkund Maharaj from the strategy of the war between Jarasandh and Kalayavan has been shown in the panorama through painting, scenery and drawing.
