Durgesh Kumar has been receiving praises for his portrayal of Bhushan aka Banrakas in Panchayat season 3. The actor is reprising his character from the second season and has been trending on social media posts on Panchayat. However, in an interview with DNA, the actor opened up about his struggling phase when he was forced to work in an adult film. Durgesh Kumar says he worked in films for money
Durgesh spoke about the lack of opportunities in the interview and said, “I cannot live without acting. So, I did every job that came my way because I believed in my abilities. We are getting work now, which is a big thing. Otherwise, where would we fit in? No one would cast us in maar-dhaad waale shows (action genre). At least with comedy, we get these opportunities so it feels great.”
Durgesh Kumar talks about his struggle with depression
In another interview with The Lallantop, Durgesh revealed that one must be mentally prepared to struggle in the entertainment industry. He said that one must be psychologically, physically, mentally, emotionally and financially prepared to become an actor. He admitted that he has gone through depression twice in the last 11 years.
