Ori was called for questioning in connection with the allegations made by drug smuggler Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh.
Orhaan Avatramani alias Ori received summons from the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police. According to news agency PTI, an official has now said that Ori failed to appear before the Mumbai Police and sought time till November 25. Orry fails to appear, sends lawyer
Ori has been called for questioning on Thursday (November 20) following claims by alleged drug smuggler Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, who was recently deported from Dubai and alleged to have links with the Dawood Ibrahim gang. The officer said Ori did not appear and sent his lawyer, who sought time till November 25.
According to officials quoted by Hindustan Times, Sheikh said during interrogation that he had organized lavish parties in Dubai and Mumbai, which were reportedly attended by many high-profile celebrities including Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhant Kapoor, filmmaker Abbas-Mustan, rapper Loka, Ori and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddiqui. “We have called Ori to our office in Ghatkopar on Thursday morning to question him about the matter,” an ANC official told HT.

The case dates back to March 2024, when police seized 126.14 kg of Mephedrone, commonly known as ‘MD’, worth approximately Rs. ₹252 crore on a mephedrone-manufacturing facility at a farm in Sangli district. Police arrested Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh after he was deported from Dubai last month. Sheikh confessed to the Mumbai Police that he used to organize rave parties for celebrities in India and abroad.
Orhaan Avatramani, widely known as Ori, is a Mumbai-based socialite, lifestyle influencer and pop-culture personality who has become a fixture in the inner circle of Bollywood. She is often seen posing with top celebrities including Suhana Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Nysa Devgan, Sara Ali Khan and international stars. Ori has not commented publicly on the subpoena. She was seen enjoying Travis Scott’s high-energy concert in Mumbai on November 19.
