The apex court on Tuesday had directed the NTA to re-evaluate the marks in light of the expert opinion of IIT Delhi regarding a Physics question, which said that two options cannot be considered as the correct answer to a question.
Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud had said, “We accept the report of IIT Delhi and accordingly NTA will re-prepare the NEET UG result on the basis that option 4 represents the only correct answer to the question.”
Candidates can check the revised result on the official website of NTA at exam.nta.ac.in/NEET.
The NEET UG scorecard released today will be the third set of results for this year’s medical entrance exam along with the final result. The first set was released on June 4, along with the preliminary result with grace marks. After 1,563 applicants took the exam again, the NTA had to revise the scorecards of all candidates. Today’s final result cum scorecard is the third one, displaying each candidate’s all-India ranking and scores for the year.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) for more than 24 lakh candidates at 4750 various centers located in 571 cities across the country including 14 cities outside India on 5 May 2024. The re-exam was conducted on 23 June 2024 for 1563 candidates who experienced loss of time during the originally scheduled exam on 5 May 2024.
