Now EV vehicles can be charged even without a charger, students built the country’s first automatic charging station

Ghaziabad: The country’s emerging engineering students have made an invention that can bring a new revolution in the charging of electric vehicles (EVs). Through this technology, now EV vehicles can be charged without socket and charger after reaching the station. This revolutionary technology has not only made the charging process of EV simple and fast, but it can also prove to be helpful in securing the future of electric vehicles in India.

This new invention uses wireless charging technology, which gets activated as soon as the vehicle reaches the charging station. Magnetic resonance technology has been used in this, due to which electric current is transmitted between the vehicle and the charging station without any physical contact. This technology works through a small receiver already installed in the vehicles, which receives energy from the charging platform and transfers it to the battery.

Student teams and their inspirations
This project has been developed by a team of five students of Ghaziabad’s prestigious Hi-Tech Engineering College. Saurabh Chaudhary, the student leading the team, said, “Our effort was to make EV charging so simple and easy that people do not hesitate to adopt electric vehicles.” His motivation is to reduce the increasing pollution and fuel consumption around the world. He believes that if this technology is adopted on a wide scale, then dependence on petrol and diesel can be reduced to a great extent.

future prospects
This technology will not only reduce the charging time but will also reduce the cost of setting up charging stations as it does not require expensive charging equipment. Apart from this, this system is completely safe and can be easily upgraded in existing EV vehicles as well.

Mandeep Verma, Director of Hi-Tech Engineering, has praised this invention. He says that if this technology is successful, it can revolutionize India’s electric vehicle industry and help the country take a big step forward towards green energy. This initiative of the students can lead to even more widespread use of EV vehicles in the future, which will reduce the damage caused to the environment.
