The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has released a detailed date sheet for class 10 (secondary) and class 12 (senior secondary) public examinations for 2025. According to the notification, the principle examination will begin on October 14, 2025 at the nominated centers at the whole of India and foreign places.
The official schedule indicates that the principle examination for both class 10 and class 12 will end on November 18, 2025. The institute has confirmed that once published, the date sheet of the theory examination will not be changed.
Registered students can use their admit card or hall ticket three to four days before the public examination starts. These can be downloaded through the student login section on the official NIOS website – sdmis.nios.ac.in.

The board has also announced that the results of the September-October 2025 theory examination will be declared within seven weeks after the examination is over. However, no personal questions about the exact date of the result declaration will be entertained. The results will be published directly on the NIOS portal. The mark-sheet-cum-certified and migration-cum-transfer certificate will be released directly to successful candidates through their respectively recognized institutions.
