Femina Miss India 2024: Nikita Porwal from Madhya Pradesh has been crowned the winner this year. Rekha Pandey, representing the Union Territories, stood second.
Ayushi Dholakia from Gujarat was second runner up.
Nikita is an actor who has been working since the age of 18. He started his career as a TV anchor. Last year’s winner Nandini Gupta crowned her. Neha Dhupia wore Miss India sash.
The finale of Miss India pageant was held in Mumbai on Wednesday night. Sangeeta Bijlani performed and walked on the ramp. Others who were spotted on the red carpet included former Miss India, actresses Neha Dhupia, Raghav Juyal and others. Anusha Dandekar was included in the jury.
The latest edition of the pageant launched a nationwide search to find the best talent from all corners of the country through on-ground auditions. The extensive scouting drive and subsequent audition rounds culminated with the shortlisting of 30 state winners who were put through rigorous training and beauty exercises at a pageant boot camp conducted by industry experts.
30 state winners competed to win the title of Femina Miss India 2024 in the grand finale on Wednesday. The winner of Femina Miss India 2024, co-powered by Topps and Rajnigandha Pearls, will represent India at the Miss World pageant. Winning the title of Femina Miss India not only brings fame but the winner also gets the opportunity to live in the entertainment and glamor capital of India – Mumbai.
Continuing the legacy that saw five world beauties grace us with their presence on the globe – Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000) and Manushi Chhillar. (2017), the country awaited the crowning of the new titleholder.
