News of Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest: Delhi’s ITO metro station will remain closed till 6 pm on Friday, DMRC informed on X platform.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) wrote, ‘On the advice of Delhi Police, ITO Metro station will remain closed today i.e. 22 March 2024 from 08:00 am to 06:00 pm.’

Notably, the reason for the temporary closure of the ITO metro station could be that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has planned a protest in front of the headquarters of the PM Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which Located on Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg. Near the same metro station. The protest will begin around 10 am following the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday night in the city’s excise policy case.

Delhi Police has also already deployed barricades and increased the number of its personnel in the ITO area due to AAP’s protest today.
