New Delhi. 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has been introduced in Thailand. Due to this, interest is increasing among automotive lovers in India also. Even though Mitsubishi has stopped its manufacturing in India. Nevertheless, the brand remains respected, mainly due to the legacy of models like Pajero Sport. This launch comes at a time when Mitsubishi has strengthened its market presence in India through a joint venture with TVS Mobility. However, no plans to restart manufacturing or directly import cars have been announced.
In the market, the new Pajero Sport competes with models like Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Isuzu MU-X SUV. The price of the new Pajero Sport has been kept between THB 1,389,000 and THB 1,689,000 i.e. approximately Rs 32 lakh to Rs 39 lakh. This new SUV has been given many updates compared to the old model.

Cosmetic and functional enhancements have been made
Its shape in 2024 Pajero Sport is almost the same as before. However, a lot of cosmetic and functional enhancements have been made in it. Its exterior has a brand-new grille and bi-LED projector headlights equipped with auto-beam leveling. It also has updated LED DRLs, fog lights and rear combination LED tail lights.
The 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUV now has 18-inch stylish 18-inch wheels and now the ground clearance has also been increased. Now this car will get ground clearance of 222 mm instead of 217 mm. A lot of modifications have also been made in the interior of this SUV. A notable addition is a new steering wheel design borrowed from the Triton pickup truck.
This vehicle has a large infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, an 8-inch instrument screen and leather upholstery. Also, keeping in mind the comfort, features like adjustable front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, keyless entry and push-button start have been provided.
This SUV has a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine which gives power of 182bhp and peak torque of 430Nm. This engine is paired with a new 6-speed automatic gearbox. Here the 8-speed unit has been replaced. Customers will also be able to select between rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). Similarly, keeping safety in mind, it has also been provided with 7 airbags and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite.
