The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has started the NEET UG 2025 counseling process for All India Kota (AIQ) and Central Institutions on July 21, 2025 with round 1 registration. Candidates who are eligible on NEET UG 2025 can now register online through the official website, mcc.nic.in.
According to the counseling schedule issued by MCC, round 1 seat allocation results will be declared on 31 July, 2025. Subsequently, shortlisted candidates will have to report their allotted colleges for document verification and admission formalities within the stipulated time limit.
Prior to each counseling round, MCC publishes final seat matrix, which details the total number of MBBS and BDS seats available in participating institutions. It has been published separately for Matrix AIQ (15% of government college seats) and 100% seats in central universities, AIIMS, Zipper, ESIC and Deemed Universities.
While MCC conducts counseling for these categories, the remaining 85% government medical seats are allocated through state-level consultation, managed by the concerned state authorities.
This year NEET UG saw a record participation, in which more than 24 lakh candidates were registering for the entrance examination held on May 5, 2025. Out of these, more than 22.8 lakh aspirations appeared, causing a limited number of MBBS and BDS seats across the country to be more spectacular than ever.
