NEET UG re-exam today: 1,563 candidates of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET-UG) are set to re-appear for the medical entrance exam soon. As per the NTA notification, the re-exam will be conducted for the affected candidates between 2 pm and 5 pm. The results are tentatively to be released on June 30.
The exam is being conducted for 1,563 candidates who received “grace marks” in the NEET-UG 2024 exam after the NTA informed that the score cards of all the affected (1563) candidates issued on June 4 have been cancelled and thus withdrawn.

while talking to a news agency Year, NEET-UG candidates Palak from Gujarat said, “I have scored 682 marks in the NEET-UG exam. We should not conduct the NEET exam again because we have achieved these marks with hard work and dedication. Students who have scored less than 600 marks are demanding NEET again…”

The government has assured strict action against anyone found involved in any irregularities related to the NEET (UG) 2024 exam. It has notified the Public Examinations Act to prevent unfair practices and paper leaks, which has the following provisions A fine of up to Rs 1 crore and a jail term of up to 10 years can be imposed on offenders. The aim of this Act is to prevent the use of unfair means in public examinations and bring more transparency, fairness and credibility.
The Ministry of Education has handed over the investigation to the CBI for a thorough and comprehensive probe into the alleged irregularities in NEET (UG).
Meanwhile, the Centre on Saturday postponed the NEET-PG exam after the exam was cancelled due to the leak of UGC-NET exam papers on the darknet. Earlier on Friday, the Supreme Court had refused to allow NEET-UG counselling to begin from July 6 and will hear the petitions on July 8.
