A court in Maharashtra’s Latur city on Tuesday sent a Zilla Parishad school teacher to police custody till July 2 in an alleged rape case. Neat and Examination irregularities.
Police produced Sanjay Jadhav, who was detained for questioning the previous day, before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court.

Of the four accused in the case, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has so far arrested Zila Parishad School headmaster Jalil Khan Umar Khan Pathan and detained Jadhav. It has come to light that at least four people were running a racket to help aspiring NEET students pass the exam by paying money.
Pathan was on Monday sent to police custody till July 2.
All four accused were booked under the recently notified Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
The search is on for two other accused Iranna Mashnaji Kongalwar and Gangadhar, who is believed to be in Delhi.
Prima facie, Kongalwar acted as a middleman, collecting admit cards of NEET aspirants from Pathan and Jadhav.

“After the cards are collected, Gangadhar was paid an advance of Rs 50,000, after which the admit cards were sent to him. Usually, the deal was finalised A police officer said that a fine of Rs 5 lakh has been imposed per student for leaking the paper.
The Centre handed over the probe into alleged irregularities in the medical entrance exam – NEET-UG – to the CBI, which later registered an FIR.
