Many people keep fast for Navratri and enjoy festive dishes after performing the puja. While we must remember to have fun and enjoy the festive delicacies, it is important that we also take care of our health and detox to stay healthy.

Water is essential to help flush out toxins from the system. We should aim to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day. For an extra boost, we can add a slice of lemon or a little apple cider vinegar to the water, which can help improve digestion and cleanse the liver.

Focus on consuming nutrient-rich foods like fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Leafy vegetables like spinach, kale and broccoli are rich in fiber and antioxidants, and help aid detoxification and digestion.

Cut down on sugar and processed foods

After excessive consumption, it is important to avoid added sugars and processed foods, which can cause inflammation and slow down the body’s detox process. Instead, we can opt for the natural sugars found in fruits and stay away from sugary drinks.

Increase fiber intake

Fiber-rich foods like oats, chia seeds, lentils and beans help regulate digestion and cleanse the digestive tract. Fiber binds toxins and aids in their elimination through the digestive tract.
