Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam has released an official notification inviting applications from ITI-qualified Indian candidates for various apprenticeship training posts. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online by visiting the official website of Indian Navy, joinIndiannavy.gov.in. The vacancies at Naval Dockyard Apprentice School, Visakhapatnam are for a period of one year. [DAS (Vzg)] For Apprenticeship Training Batch 2025-26 as per Apprenticeship Act 1961.
It is noteworthy that the last date to apply for the posts is January 2, 2025. The written examination for all trades will be conducted on February 28, 2025, while the results will be declared on March 4, 2025. Furthermore, the training will begin from May 2, 2025.

Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: To be eligible to apply, candidates must have passed SSC/Matriculation/Class 10 with 50 percent aggregate marks. Also, they must have 65 percent (aggregate) in ITI (NCVT/SCVT). It should be noted that SSC/Matriculation and ITI certificates without marks, percentage, grade or grade point will not be accepted.
Age Limit: As per the Apprentice Act 1961, the minimum age of the candidates should be 14 years, and for hazardous occupations, it is 18 years. Accordingly, to be eligible candidates must be born on or before 2nd May 2011. Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) Office Memorandum No. F.No. As per, there is no upper age limit for apprenticeship training. MSDE-14(03)/2021 AP-(PMU) dated 20 Dec 21.
Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
Applicants will have to go through a four-tier selection process. It will involve shortlisting of candidates, a written examination, an interview (document verification and oral test), and a medical examination.
Talking about the written examination, it will consist of 75 multiple choice questions in English language (Mathematics 30, General Science 30, General Knowledge 15), each question will be of one mark. The exam will be conducted for one hour, and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam Recruitment 2024 Stipend: Candidates can expect a monthly stipend of Rs 7700 for one year and Rs 8050 for two years for ITI certificate holders.
