National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the results of the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) held in December 2023. After the provisional answer keys were available on January 3, candidates had the opportunity to raise objections till January 5. The final answer key and subsequent results are expected to be published soon on the official website of UGC NET – https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/.
The nationwide UGC NET examination consisted of 83 subjects in which a total of 9,45,918 candidates appeared for eligibility for Assistant Professor posts. The December test ran from December 6 to 19, taking place in 292 cities across the country. Media reports suggest that the results are expected to be declared in January.

On the homepage, find and click “UGC NET December Result”.
Enter your registration number and date of birth.
Click on submit.
The result will be displayed on your screen.
Check and download your results
Candidates are advised to carefully review their name, roll number and marks in the result. The final answer key and result will be released after considering all the objections raised against the provisional answer key. Subject experts will assess the challenges made by the candidates and results will be prepared and declared on the basis of revised final answer keys. Candidates will not receive personal communications regarding acceptance or rejection of their challenges.
UGC NET is an important examination to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for the posts of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in universities and colleges across India. Held twice a year, the results of the first session in June were declared on 25 July. In June 2023, a total of 6,39,069 candidates appeared for the exam, which was conducted by the NTA from June 13 to June 22.
