When asked in an interview whether he watches films of popular stars like Khan, Kumar or Devgan and appreciates their acting, Naseeruddin said, ‘No, and I don’t even try to watch them. I have worked with many, but no one has impressed me. But Akshay Kumar is the only one whom I admire a lot, because without any guidance, godfather or support, he made his place and now there are signs of ability in his acting. After doing it for so long, he has become a good actor.
‘I respect… but they are boring…’
The interviewer pointed out that Shahrukh Khan has also achieved tremendous success without any backing. To this Naseeruddin replied, ‘Yes, and for this I respect Shahrukh a lot. But as an actor he is becoming boring.

Naseer will kill me. She further explained, ‘I first went to Naseer for the role of a villain. We went to many people for the role of villain.
