Cholera in Angola: After the Covid epidemic, once again people all over the world are in panic due to another disease. After Corona, there is panic due to HMPV virus. After HMPV virus, another disease has knocked in the African country. Cholera has been spreading in Angola for some days. The country’s Health Ministry has said that till 6 pm local time, 170 cases of cholera have been registered.
Three citizens have died of cholera in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 51 new cases have been registered. The outbreak has now spread to two additional municipalities in addition to the capital province, Luanda. According to the report of Xinhua news agency, the outbreak of cholera has been increasing since the first case was reported on Tuesday. Emergency procedure has been implemented in the country.
Health Minister’s statement came
Angola’s Health Minister Sylvia Lutukuta has issued a statement. Emergency plans have been activated to deal with the cholera outbreak in the country, especially in its epicenter, the Cacuaco municipality of Luanda province. According to Lutukuta, health officials have increased epidemiology and lab surveillance. Along with resource mobilization, public health communication has been improved and public access to safe drinking water has been ensured.

Public Water Company Director Adao Silva said that work has been done to clean 17 community water tanks previously used for drinking water.
