Just weeks ahead of her delivery date, mom-to-be Deepika Padukone stepped out for dinner with her husband and actor Ranveer Singh’s family in Mumbai. The expectant mother, whose delivery date is nearing, opted for a comfortable black outfit for a relaxed dinner outing with her loved ones. She wore a long black dress with white shoes, and paired it with a black blazer to hide her baby bump.
She was spotted entering a restaurant in Mumbai with her mother-in-law amid heavy security. Deepika and Ranveer are expecting their first child. The baby is due in September.
Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy in February. In an Instagram post, the couple revealed that the baby is due to be born in September. The picture adorned with the baby’s shoes and clothes read, “September 2024”. Deepika and Ranveer, both 38 years old, got married in a private wedding ceremony at Lake Como in Italy in 2018.
On Deepika and Ranveer’s work front
Talking about films, the duo will be seen together on the silver screen again. They will be seen sharing screen space in Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Singham Again this Diwali. The film sees Ranveer reprising his role of Simmba and Deepika is believed to be introduced as Lady Singham. They will be seen alongside a star cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
Ranveer will also be seen in Aditya Dhar’s next, which includes another action film alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Akshaye Khanna. He will also be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s crime drama Don 3 next year and will be seen alongside Kiara Advani.
Meanwhile, Deepika was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s Telugu dystopian science-fiction drama Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. 1000 crore, it will now premiere on Netflix India on August 22. Ever since its release, fans have been praising Deepika’s role as a mother. She was seen playing a mother in Kalki 2898 A.D., and also had an extended guest role in Atlee’s crime drama Jawaan last year. In that blockbuster, she was cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan, her first co-star in her 2007 debut film, Farah Khan’s hit reincarnation saga Om Shanti Om.
