New Delhi. Ever since Microsoft launched the Windows 11 operating system, the company has been emphasizing that only PCs that meet certain requirements can run the new operating system. However, people somehow bypassed those requirements and installed Windows 11 even on devices on which it would not support. But, with the new update, Microsoft has made this requirement more stringent and has now made TPM 2.0 mandatory to run Windows 11 operating system. This change is bad news for many Windows 11 users.
Microsoft has made TPM 2.0 mandatory for Windows 11. It was expected that the company would relax this requirement and allow older Windows 11 PCs with the first-generation TPM to update to the new version. But, it seems that Microsoft is not going to do this, even if the PC meets all other requirements, without TPM 2.0, it will not be able to run the new version of Windows 11. This also applies to those users who are somehow running Windows 11 on unsupported PCs.

Why is Microsoft doing this
According to the company, TPM 2.0 is an essential security requirement for users’ data and privacy. Considering the integration of AI features and tools, this requirement is somewhat understandable as it will give users some peace of mind in terms of privacy and data security.
what can you do
If your PC doesn’t have TPM 2.0 or doesn’t meet Windows 11 requirements, you only have two options for now: Ditch your old PC and buy a new PC. Or, another option is to switch to MacBooks.
