JSW MG Motor India recently announced that they have sold 50,000 units of the Windsor EV in the Indian market, that too in less than 400 days. This is a huge achievement for an electric vehicle. For reference, the Tata Nexon EV took 3 years to achieve similar sales figures. This is why Windsor EV has been a big hit in the Indian market.
MG Windsor EV: Lots of space
One of the first benefits of the Windsor EV is the abundance of space on offer. Underpinning it is an electric skateboard platform that offers a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. What it has done is provide ample space for the occupants. There is ample amount of headroom, shoulder-room and kneeroom. Actually, three people can sit comfortably at the back.

MG Windsor EV: Premium Interior
Then there’s the interior of the Windsor EV. It appears to belong to one of the sections above. It has cushion-type seats that provide ample amount of comfort, the dashboard and door pads have soft touch materials, and the driver also gets a leather steering wheel. Overall, the interior feels well built.
MG Windsor EV: Decent Range
The Windsor EV is available with two battery packs: a 38 kWh unit and a 52.9 kWh battery pack. Real-world range of the 38 kWh is around 250 to 280 km, while the larger battery pack can reach around 350 km. It would have been nice to have an option for existing smaller battery pack users to upgrade to a larger battery pack.
