Mexico City, 6 August (Reuters) – Foreign Minister Roberto Alverages, Foreign Minister of Dominican Republic and top Mexican authorities proposed to make a bilateral round table table to address the environmental effects of Sargasum Marine Algi on the Caribbean Coastline of the countries, their office said on Wednesday.
Hotel workers are struggling to keep the beaches clean, which, as a mountains of sharpness, reduce the sargasam accumulated on the Caribbean coasts, release irritable gases, break the marine ecosystems and kill the occupancy rates in the resorts along the sea shore.
The Atlantic Sargasam blooms, a type of algae, has increased dramatically in the last decade, by nutrient pollution, cutting of forests, warm sea temperature and changes in sea currents have been pushed by spreading west to the west.

The World Travel and Tourism Council estimates that tourism can increase the economies of Mexico and Dominican Republic to $ 281 billion and $ 21 billion respectively in 2025, both broke new records and represented about 15% of GDP.

Many countries want to reproduce Sargasam in usable materials such as biofuels, fertilizers and bioplastics, but it is expensive to remove arsenic from toxins and heavy metals such as marine algae and research remains in early stages.
