A few months after the global rollout of Meta AI, the company has launched it in India as well. Meta AI, built with Meta’s largest language model (LLM) Llama 3, has now been launched in the country as well. Tech giant Meta announced that Indian users will be able to access their artificial intelligence (AI) assistant on WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and Meta.ai.
The company said in a statement that millions of users in the country can use Meta AI in feeds, chats and other apps to complete their work, create content and get information on topics. For this, they do not need to leave the app they are using.
Meta said, ‘It is being launched in India in English. You can use Meta AI on WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger and Instagram to work, learn, create and connect with the things that matter to you.’

The company first announced Meta AI at last year’s ‘Connect’ event.

Users in India can ask Meta AI in WhatsApp group chats to recommend good restaurants with great views for you and your friends.
The company said, ‘Ask Meta AI what is a good place to stay on a road trip? If you are preparing for a test, ask Meta AI about multiple choice tests on the web.’
