Nagarjuna announced the engagement of son Akhil Akkineni to Zainab Rawadji on 26 November. Both will tie the knot next year.
The Akkineni family announced Akhil Akkineni’s engagement to Zainab Rawadji with a series of beautiful pictures. Nagarjuna said in a statement that the family is very happy to share this with well-wishers. The wedding dates have not been decided yet and will probably take place next year. According to a report in The New Indian Express, Zainab is an artist and art exhibitor based in Mumbai, but was born and brought up in Hyderabad. Who is Zainab Rawadji?
Zainab is the daughter of industrialist Zulfi Rawadji. He is a leader in the construction industry. Zainab’s brother Zain Rawadji serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of ZR Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd. He is an accomplished artist known for his abstract and impressionistic paintings and exhibitions. The 39-year-old artist tells The New Indian Express about his collection Reflections, which was shown in 2012.
“That’s why it’s called Reflections; I’m looking at shows I’ve done in the past and putting it together for this show. That is why you will find that the paintings are made from different inspirations,” she said.

Zainab and Akhil met and started dating a few years ago. Announcing their engagement, Akhil wrote on his Instagram, “I found my forever. Happy to announce that Zainab Rawadji and I are happily engaged.”
Meanwhile, Nagarjuna said, “As a father, it gives me great joy to see Akhil taking this important step in his life with Zainab, someone who complements him beautifully. Zainab’s grace, warmth, and artistic spirit have truly made her a wonderful member of our family. We are very pleased and look forward to celebrating this new journey with both families.”
On the work front, Akhil Akkineni was last seen in the 2023 film Agent.
