Self-care is often depicted as luxury retreat, price skincare, or wide rituals. In fact, there is about tuning in true self-care, understanding your needs, and nourishing your body and mind from within. And here is the funny thing: those bases are often independent, simple and surprisingly effective.” Also read Stop scrolling: Do these 3 self-care rituals to promote your productivity today
Meditation sutradhar shared 7 self-care practices that can help the body and mind relax, and make us feel better:
1. Regular bowel movement
Each day a healthy bowel movement keeps your body light and keeps your mood brighter. The intestine is deeply connected to the brain through the gut-brain axis. Digestive issues can actually play with your mood. Consider this routine as housekeeping for your body, such as drainage out.
2. Breathe
If coffee wakes you up, deep breath calms you. The box may look fancy from practices like breathing or humming, but in fact, it is just you, air and a little patience.
3. Fresh air
Stuck inside all day? Step into fresh air is like refreshing for your brain. A quick walk under the trees, or simply standing on the balcony, can reduce anxiety and increase mood.
4. Get some sunlight
Natural sun is your friend. You can improve mood by promoting serotonin just 15 minutes a day and help your body to produce vitamin D. Think of it as mood therapy sponsored by the universe. 5. Transfer your body
Our body was not designed to bend in office chairs for 10 hours. The movement keeps the blood flowing, makes the joints happy, and the brain is sharp. 20 minutes of walking, some stretch, or dance in your living room also works.
6. Express gratitude
Gratitude is like a vitamin for the mind, often left but necessary. Practice does not need to be fancy. Write one thing that you are grateful to daily: your morning tea, a call from a friend, or just someone’s appearance.
7. Love and share
Love is not just about grand gestures. Smiling on a stranger, opening a door, or sending a lesson that says, thinks about you, matters.
8. Creativity
You do not need to portray the landscape or write a novel. Creativity can mean dressing in fun colors, trying a new recipe, or writing an email that is not painful. Also read 5 Quick and Easy Morning Self-Equipment Rituals for a positive start for your day
