New Delhi. The country’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has recalled 2555 models of its popular car Alto K10. The company has suspected a defect in these Alto models. Maruti Suzuki issued a statement saying that there is a defect in the steering gear box assembly of the Alto car.
Maruti said in a notice to the stock exchange, “This defect in the Alto car is very rare which may affect the operational capacity of the car. Therefore, as a precaution, customers of the affected vehicles are advised not to drive and use the vehicle until the part is replaced.”
Maruti said that the affected vehicle owners will be contacted by the dealer and the vehicle parts will be checked and replaced free of cost. Earlier, Maruti had recalled some models of Baleno and WagonR.
