From mass-market SUVs to premium electric crossover, every segment is getting a fresh contender. For buyers, it means more options, more techniques and in some cases, more confusion. There is a look at what is coming on our streets this month.
Maruti Suzuki new compact SUV
Maruti Suzuki is preparing another compact SUV called Escudo. Expect to get its initial price 9.7 to 9.75 million, this compact SUV is an attractive offer in space. The feature list is expected to be modest with a renunciation sunroof, ventilated seats, six airbags and even Adas Tech. Under the hood, Maruti is likely to offer both light-hybrid and strong hybrid options, ensuring that the SUV appeals to both fuel-conscious buyers and those who want a little technical wizardry in their daily drives.
Vinfast vf6
The Vietnamese car manufacturer Winfast is about to start its Indian market with VF6, an electric SUV gathered at its plant in Tamil Nadu. Expected to be worth around 25 lakhs, the objective of VF6 is the square on the young, urban buyer, which wants style and stability in a clean package. The electric SUV comes with a battery of 59.6 kwh which promises a range of up to 410 km. Inside, buyers can expect a premium setup with six external color options, two internal themes, airy seats, a head-up display and a futuristic vibe with a new touchscreen.
Vinfast vf7
Sharing the spotlight with his younger brother -in -law, VF7 comes as Winfast’s more premium EV for India. Hope to touch prices 50 lakhs, but whatever you get in return is a large electric SUV with a renunciation glass roof, up to eight airbags for dual-field climate control and security. Below, the VF7 uses a battery of 70.8 kwh that can provide a range of up to 496 km. Buyers will also have an option between single-motor and double-motor layouts, which means that you can either stick to efficiency or choose to opt for something with too much punch.
Citroen Basalt X
Citroen is putting a big bet on style, and Basalt X is the newest attempt to stand out in a crowded SUV market. It is expected to be launched 14.13 lakhs, this coup-style SUVs get some serious interior upgrade, including ambient lighting, wireless charging, 10.2 inch touchscreen and a fully digital driver display. Under the bonnet, Citroën is both naturally keeping aspirated and turbocharged 1.2-liter petrol engine, which is added to manual or automatic gearbox. It is a package that is aimed at those who want French flare without breaking the bank.
Volvo ex30
Another luxury electric SUV on the horizon is Volvo EX30. Expected to hover around prices 50 million, this compact brings the Scandinavian design ethos of EV Volvo to the premium electric crossover space. Signature design elements such as Thor’s hammer LED DRL meet a modern simplified two tone interior, standing from a 12.3 -inch screen for infotainment. True to Volvo Heritage, security is with seven airbags, ADAS features and 360 degrees cameras. The 69 kwh battery provides a rear-wheel drive with an optimistic 480 km range, making it a practical luxury EV on Indian roads.
